Whole wheat spaghetti twisted with turkey breast mince, green cabbage, carrots, celery and onion in a light gently sweet broth. Something a little different - a dish with movement and warmth that children haven't seen at lunch before. The turkey breast mince breaks into soft little crumbles through the noodles - one of the leanest proteins on the menu naturally low in saturated fat and a great source of B vitamins that help children convert their lunch into energy for the afternoon. The broth is built on tamari and sweet chilli - that's what gives it the sweet savoury depth you'd recognise from a teriyaki sauce with a gentle warmth that keeps it interesting rather than heavy. The whole wheat spaghetti is served as noodles - long slurpable and carrying far more fibre than a traditional egg or rice noodle which means children are genuinely fuller for longer. It's the kind of dish children pick up a fork for out of curiosity and finish before they've had time to decide whether they liked it.
